Photographs, South Park - Boxing Day
By chance a friend who was invited to take pictures at a Boxing competition in South Park in May 2007 invited me to come along. It was a great experience. The competition included kids from 8 year olds to young men in their early 20s. The competition included many Latino kids from all over the Northwest.
We arrived at the South Park Community Center at 7 AM to be present during the ring set up, the weighing and classification of the boxers. We photograph them getting dressed, preparing and warming up for the fights.
The adrenaline at the community center increased when the first fight started and the first victor was announced.
