Thank you for your interest in ArtXchange Gallery. In order for us to become acquainted with your work, we ask that you send us digital images or a link to your website address. Due to continued difficulty in receiving slide portfolios, proper postage, and the time it takes to process such material, we no longer accept artist submissions sent though the mail.
Our gallery staff cannot accept walk-in submissions.
ArtXchange generally has one juried group exhibition per year and we advertise our open call via our website, our email list, our Facebook and the Artist Trust website. These open call opportunities are the BEST time to submit your work for consideration, depending on the yearly theme of the exhibition. Check back regularly, join our email list or join our Facebook to be informed when we are looking for submissions.
Basic Submission Procedure:
1. E-mail a link to your website to apply2artxchange@gmail.com. If you are sending jpeg images, please send 4-10 of your most recent work.
2. Please include your artist resume and contact information.
3. Please include an artist's statement addressing concrete information about your work and why it is appropriate for ArtXchange’s mission of cultural exchange.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL regarding the status of your submission. We have a small staff and cannot view/respond to submissions right away. We try to review submissions quarterly and will respond via email when we are able.
Very rarely do we select an artist after submitting a portfolio. We work with about 30 artists who show on a rotating basis every two to three years. We host 6 exhibitions per year and our gallery schedule is currently booked at least one year in advance. But we appreciate learning about new work and will keep appropriate submissions on file in case of future opportunities.
